Baby boomers and Knowlege management systems | ribbits's Blog

The loss of baby boomers in the last few years and in the next few years is likely to have a crippling effect on businesses. The retirement of the employees will leave the business without a vast amount of knowledge that has been gained over a lifetime of experience. Is the best way to harness all of this information with a computer program or with one on one training and mentoring? If I were retiring I would be insulted if I were asked to try to put all of the information I had learned into a computer. There is simply no way to harness it all that way. It would be much better to train a sucessor than leave a written legacy. This Blog Entry's Comment Board (1 comment)
